This may seem like a bit of a strange question, but as you always seem to have great answers I will ask away.
I am training for the 1000m Time Trial, Track cycling. The top guys can manage it in around 60 seconds. The best I have done is about 72 seconds, I am 32 years old. This is a flat out sprint from a standing start.
I am trying to plan for the upcoming season, and was wondering if you had any suggestions, regarding workouts for the various phases of a periodised plan (General, Special, Comp).
I figure that an energy system is an energy system, so the workouts (in terms of seconds and effort) should apply.
