Started Coaching last year and have had fun with it. Took my junior team to the Penn Relays last year and ended up in 14Th (not bad for a first timer --- was told that the school never placed in the top 100). Trying to get a better program for a small school. I have studied relays, but could use help in sprint, distance and shot. I am a firm believer in teaching form and results were better then expected, but would like any help in developing young female runners.
I am asking about what to do in practice which will help these young people develop. I have talked to some of the local high school coaches and they seem to have different goals and regimens (but their runners are more physically mature).
If there are any coaches with young runners that can provide any suggestions, it would be appreciated. I listen well.
Thanks in Advance
Chris
