Gauging Hurdling Preformance Through Video

I am a sophomore in high school and my passion in track has been the 110 hurdles. My other passion in high school is science, and for the science fair this year I am doing the physics behind hurdling. I need a system to accurately gauge distances in hurdling over the entire course, preferably through video.

If anyone has any ideas or suggestions on how I can do this please let me know on this forum. Thanks in advance.

You might find the information you are looking for in the web site link below. It is a kinematic analysis of hurdling performances of the United States Olympic trials.

Companies contract with or have permission from the USATF to do computerized analysis of Championship races and field events and they sell the software but it is very expensive.
