I am interested in finding out if there is data on how far away from a hurdle the runner takes off and how close to the hurdle the runner touches down. I am particularly interested in the women's 100 meter hurdles, Devers, Kirkland, Donkova, Adams...Thanks

How far away from a hurdle should the runner take off?
The taller the athlete, the further he or she must take off from the hurdle for a flat, fast clearance. For female 100m hurdlers, the race is run over barriers 33 inches high. The take-off distance to the hurdle should be 5'3" - 6'4" or approximately 6 feet.
How close to the hurdle should the runner touch down?
The landing takes place from about 2'8" (80 cm) to 4' (1.22m) behind the hurdle, varying slightly according to the physique of an athlete and the hurdles distance involved. The peak of the hurdler's parabolic flight should be achieved prior to reaching the hurdle. The lead leg should remain slightly bent over the hurdle. Once over the hurdle, the objective is to get back down to the track as quickly as possible. This is accomplished by a snap-down action of the lead leg. Snap-down should begin as soon as the lead foot has passed over the hurdle. The lead leg should be nearly straight by the time the foot touches down below the hips on the other side of the hurdle.
