Will beginning athletes improve their VO2max the most with a training frequency of six sessions per week?

Researchers found that a training frequency of five to six times per week improved VO2max by about 43% for beginning athletes who started their training programs with a relatively low VO2max.
With a frequency of two to four times per week, the improvements averaged only 20-25%.
