Meet Planning

Post by Mr. Chris »

I am planning out my training year and need to select meets for my competition phase. I remember past coaches having a booklet that contained every planned meet in California (or the US) along with meet status (open, university, master. etc.), fees, and qualifying standards. Do you know of such a book and, if so, where I can attain one for the Fall of 2003 (sprints) and Spring-Summer of 2004?

The American Track & Field Magazine publishes the U.S. Athletics Calendar. The web site is www.american-trackandfield.com.

To register and for the most current updates on sports events, go to www.usatf.org and www.runningnetwork.com. You might want to become a member of the U.S.A. Track & Field Organization which is the governing body of track & field. You must be a member in order to participate in the U.S.A Track & Field Meets.
